September 2010
Needing a bit of escape but not having much time, I started reading The Cost of Passage by Heather Tekavec. I had picked up the book at a meeting with Ben and Brenda Peters from The Kingdom Sending Center. The Peters had many of their books available as well as The Cost of Passage which was written by their niece. All the books were being given away, asking only for a donation if led. The Cost of Passage caught my eye, so I chose it. Though considered a book for young adults, I believe I enjoyed it even more in my autumn years. Tekavec’s writing drew me into a world filled with characters that brought her story to life. It was exactly what I needed; 118 pages of good and fun reading!
